Copyright and DMCA
Last updated October 28, 2026
We respect copyright and expect everyone on Vibestorm to do the same. If you believe something on Vibestorm infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent below and we’ll remove it or disable access to it promptly.
Designated agent
Drew LaCroix, Vibestorm
Email: drewllacroix@gmail.com (subject “DMCA notice”)
Sending a takedown notice
Your notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name works).
- The copyrighted work you believe is infringed, or a list if there are several.
- A link to each project, comment, profile or file on Vibestorm you want removed.
- Your name, postal address, phone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn’t authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
Knowingly misrepresenting that something infringes can make you liable for damages. If you’re not sure, consider asking a lawyer first. For things that break our rules but aren’t copyright, use the Report link on the project, comment or profile instead.
What happens next
When we receive a complete notice, we remove the content or disable access to it, and tell the person who posted it, including a copy of the notice (we may remove your phone number and address).
Sending a counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or that you have the right to use it, you can send a counter-notice to the same agent. It must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- What was removed and where it was on Vibestorm before it was removed.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, postal address and phone number.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you’re outside the United States, any judicial district where Vibestorm may be found), and that you’ll accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent.
We’ll forward your counter-notice to the person who sent the takedown. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they’ve filed a court action, we may restore the content 10 to 14 business days after receiving your counter-notice.
Repeat infringers
We keep track of takedowns, and we suspend or delete the accounts of people who repeatedly post content that infringes copyright.
